Carmelo Gutierrez, ITS Regional Owner

Owner/Manager

Mr. Gutierrez is the owner, manager and founder of ITS Regional, LLC. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field of Civil and Transportation Engineering. Mr. Gutierrez is an expert in the field of transportation engineering and traffic safety. His knowledge of traffic engineering ranges from traffic impact studies, environmental assessments, traffic signal operations design, work-zone traffic control design, pedestrian and bicycle facility design, roadway geometric design and construction cost estimating to pavement marking and signage design.

As a member of ITS Regional Traffic Engineering Team, Mr. Gutierrez has performed several Micro Simulation Modeling for roadway corridors and transit systems. He specializes in traffic impact studies, feasibility studies, parking studies, traffic calming studies, signal warrant studies, intersection and roadway capacity analysis, signal design, roundabout design, pedestrian and bicycle facility design, site access management and concurrency analysis.

Prior to founding ITS Regional, LLC., Mr. Gutierrez was the Executive Vice President of Krebs, LaSalle, LeMieux Consultants Inc., a 75 year old firm with offices in Louisiana and Mississippi. His duties included managing all environmental, traffic and civil engineering staff, project tracking and development, project coordination, permit oversight and public involvement. Mr. Gutierrez has managed a wide range of highway expansion projects from stage zero projects to transportation planning and environmental projects.
