Senior Transportation Engineer

Mr. Dale is the Senior Transportation Engineer at ITS Regional, LLC and has more than 33 years of experience with Louisiana DOT, working in various positions in the field of Transportation Engineering.

Mr. Dale served as Squad Leader (in-house design) and Consultant Coordinator for Road Deign Section from 1982 to 1999. He was involved in numerous design projects including safety projects, bridge replacement projects, reconstruction projects (5-lane Cornerview - Gonzales, Keyser Ave - Nachitoches), new alignment studies (US 171 Corridor and Natchitoches Bypass), interchanges (Louisiana Ave Interchange - Lafayette) and the US 171 Time projects from Lake Charles to Shreveport. Mr. Dale was Hammond District Design Engineer from 1999-2001, oversaw Interstate rehab projects on both I-12 and I-55 (included geometric improvements to off-ramps and traffic control), overlay projects within the District, safety projects based on review of accident data and reviewed complex permit designs.

Mr. Dale as Hammond District Traffic Operations Engineer from 2001 till 2009, performed traffic studies for signals and traffic control, safety projects based on accident data (Ward Line Interchange and LA 21 Bogalusa) and determined requirements for/review of access management reports for developments. He gave depositions on behalf of the Department due to several suits dealing with traffic control devices. Reviewed large scale permits and initiated access management policies for the District.

As an Interstate Guide Sign Manager during 2010-2011, he lead the group to develop Interstate Guide Sign Plans and review plans from consultants. He Performed field inspection before projects were accepted by the Department, Designed and supervised the development plans to install enhanced mile marker signs for the entire state within a very limited time period.
